I grew up in a large family and all my brothers and sisters got married before me and spent a fortune on their photographers, but I went for a more inexpensive photographer, little did I know I was getting the best photographer of all the weddings! John is great! He took all the shots I wanted and so much more! After the crazy Whoorlwind of the wedding I could actually remember all the things that happened because he captured it all!
I could not have asked for a better photographer! He did it all!

John Park is an excellent photographer!!! Great sense of humor and fits in with any crowd. This guy is awesome from our first meeting with him we knew he had it all together. We would highly recommend hiring John to anyone... Everything was delivered as promised!

I was amazed at the shots he captured on film, especially of our parish. His pictures were comprehensive although he was inobtrusive. Our daughter found John Park and told us from their initial conversations and meeting that she knew he would be great to photograph her wedding (which I might add was planned within six weeks). She explained her budget, and he was very accomodating. On her wedding day, the winds of Simi Valley were blowing like a small hurricane, which moved the outdoor wedding basically indoors. John arrived on time, and was nearly the last person (besides the parents of the bride) to leave. He was courteous, calm, and very professional even when things got a little crazy as they do at these occasions. John captured the moments of our daughter's wedding with photos that we will enjoy for many years to come. So when you go to his website and read what his many satisfied clients have to say, believe it!

First off, we had only 6 weeks to plan our wedding! The ceremony and reception itself were amazing, but the pictures to remember it by are breathtaking. Not only was John reasonably priced ( we had a tight budget) but he is so dedicated. he stayed up until my groom and i left the site. after our first meeting we knew we wanted to book him. this guy will crack you up, excellent sense of humor. i would dare to say this man is selling himself short.you get so much for what you pay and i would recommend him a thousand times over. i cried (ina good way) when i saw my pictures online and the album he put together was PERFECT. he is so personable and excellent at problem solving. we got all of our outside pictures despite the very windy weather. if i ever need a photographer for any event i'll be sure to call him up. thank you for everything John!

John Park did an amazing job in photographing every special moment of our wedding day. I don't remember seeing him too much, but I know he was everywhere because he captured angles and areas that were unbeknownst to us. He was not all up in our faces, either. His smooth, quite, creative style allowed him to capture beautiful pictures that we will cherish forever. Not only that, but this man is a true professional. Our wedding (8/11/07) was in Santa Barbara but we live in Los Angeles so John made every effort to meet with us close to where we live, explained the whole photography wedding process (don't know about you, but all this wedding stuff is like quantum mechanics if you haven't been married before), and helped us pick the various photo locations in Santa Barbara since he knew the area better than we did. He answered all our email questions, literally in minutes, and was punctual for every meeting, including the big "event". Our ceremony was at 10am and he was busy taking "getting ready" pictures at 8:30am. Additionally, his day was just as long as ours...all the other photographers we'd spoken to were like "we only cover 4 or 6 hours and if you need more time of coverage, that's gonna cost you". Not John, it was all part of the package, and let me tell you, his package was the best!! Taking pictures in the sun in a big ole’ heavy wedding dress and dark tuxedo is not the best scenario you can be in. However, John's calm and soothing approach made the day and experience go by fast and even enjoyable. His passion for photography was evident in the way he interacted with us. You could see his mind racing as he thought of creative, unique, poses for us....not those cheesy type that when you see the pictures, you're like "phoney - that looks so posed". These were like, "cool, that's so fun; these pictures (and the quality) are awesome!!" And that's exactly what all our friends and family have said since we received our album, which was only 2 weeks after the wedding. We weren't even back from our honeymoon when the album arrived!! Now that's what you call customer service!! I have friends who are still waiting for their albums and it's been a year since they got married. I also have friends that are getting married next year and guess who's going to be their photographer?? Yes, John Park, because he is amazing and has an eye that translates into the most beautiful pictures ever. Thanks, John, for doing what you do and for sharing your passion with us!!! You’re the BEST!!

My best friend used John Park as her photographer at her wedding and I knew that after I saw her pictures and heard of his great prices he would be perfect for our big day as well. He did such a great job at our wedding. He stayed calm during all the chaos and was very accomodating to us. He really got all the shots that I hoped to see in my wedding album. From the initial meeting to the time that we received our pictures, John was friendly and punctual. He always responded to my emails promptly. My sister had gotten married the year before I did and just watching how he worked I knew that day I would use him whenever I would got married. When I finally saw the pics I knew I was right. Little did I know I would get engaged months later. When it was time to look for a photographer John was the one I called. He was great the days before my wedding, to the day of, and after. He captured everything I had asked for and even moments I didn't even know he was there for. Private moments that only he knew to capture that I loved. There my favorite photos. Unedited Comment: John did our photography for our June wedding. The pictures came out incredible! We were very happy with his work, his professionalism and his creative eye. John took some pictures he called "corny," but you wouldn't believe the skill involved and the beauty of those pictures! I'm so glad we found him, called him and hired him for our wedding!
Additionally, John delivered our pictures without delay and sooner than we expected. He is a hardworking person and a person should be honored to have him as a wedding photographer. Plus, his prices are UNBEATABLE, without sacrificing quality or substance. Our friends hired one of those $3k+ photographers and they didn't get their pictures for a considerable lenght of time, they had to call the photographer, and, their package didn't include negatives or a digital scan! For us, when we returned from our honeymoon, our web page was waiting, and less than a week later, we had our pictures in our hands!
Excellent work, great personality, John exceeded our expectations. We are very pleased.

We and our friends and family were very impressed with how beautifully John captured the special day. I smile everytime I see my wedding pictures.
Many photographers in the area charge twice or three times as much as John and you don't get as much camera time or photos as you do with John. If we or our friends/family need a photographer in the future, we will definitely ask for John Park.

We can't get over how many different angles he shot during ceremony and reception. Even though we had a late wedding and were losing sunlight fast he kept us calm and listened to what shots we wanted and calmly instructed our crazy families and wedding party. Many of his pictures brought tears to our eyes. The thank you cards are wonderful as a keepsake for everyone who went to the wedding. We highly recommend him. He quickly had the photos ready where other companies you may wait for months to see proofs. His price was reasonable as I had called around and searched the internet for months prior to finding him. Some photographers are $3,000 for a limited number of hours. John dedicated his entire Saturday to our event. I am pleased and will pass his business cards on.

Unedited Comment: John was the photographer for our daughter's August 6th wedding at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, and he played such a big part in making it a very memorable day! He was amazing!!
When I found John's website earlier this year, I thought it almost sounded too good to be true. How could he offer so much for such a great price? After speaking with a couple other photographers and getting estimates that were over twice what John quotes on his site (and John's photo package offered us more than the others), I made an appointment with him. He brought along sample photos, albums and even his camera equipment. I was very impressed and decided to book him.
One thing that was very reassuring was that John stayed in touch with me over months so that I had one less thing to worry about. He would always answer my emails right away. As the day of the wedding got closer, he made sure that everything was arranged, and on August 6th, he was at the site exactly when he said he would be.
From that point, we were all amazed at how John seemed to be everywhere during the day -- from before the ceremony when the preparations were being made to the very end when things were wrapping up. He got it all in his photos. I especially liked that, in addition to the great formal shots, he got some wonderful candid photos and didn't forget the details of the table settings, the bouquets, etc. He said to us that when we wanted a photo taken, to just ask him, and he was willing to stay as long as we were there!
Everyone loved John, and he was so easy to work with. I know now that all the great comments that you read on this site are true.
We received our photos so fast, and they are terrific! They will be displayed on this website soon, so I hope you can take a look at them.
I will be posting our high recommendation for John on other sites, too. We know what a huge challenge it is to put a wedding together and to try to stay within some kind of budget -- he helped us accomplish that.

Unedited Comment: After resolving to just NOT have a professional photographer at our wedding at all (because we were not about to spend $2500) a friend of mine found John's website - and thank god she did! I was impressed, at first, by his comments on WHY professional photography costs so much, and why he refused to take part in ripping people off! I was further impressed by the amazing photographs I viewed on his website. I paid particular attention to his shots of other wedding's flowers, cakes, wedding dresses, reception tables & pictures of the favors, etc. He does some very creative shots, and these were the things I was interested in. I was seeing all of the same types of shots I saw on those really expensive photographer's websites - and for less than 1/2 the price! So I emailed him.
John is very easy to communicate with. He answered all of my questions promptly and we communicated entirely by email, which I love. John photographed our wedding on January 1, 2005 at River Ridge in Oxnard. I hope everyone has a chance to see the pictures of our wedding he's put here on his website, and the Web Album he created for us. I strongly recommend doing that. I can't tell you how many comments I get about how beautiful our pictures are.
John was amazing at the wedding! All of my guests loved him and my family and I are going to use him again for some studio shots this xmas. I have two friends getting married soon, and they both are planning to use John after seeing how wonderful his work is. He took ALL of the shots I wanted to be sure to get, and many, many more. In fact, I was surprised at some of the shots he got, because I never even noticed he was there at the reception!
John has a wonderful sense of humor and really goes above and beyond the call. He even came to our rehearsal just to check everything out. We were extremely nervous about it raining, and that day turned out to be the only day in a string of ten that it didn't rain. But John brought his studio equipment, just in case we had to do pictures inside (which we didn't) - and he took pictures of many of our guests at the wedding, inside, with a backdrop- they were very impressed!
We loved John and strongly recommend using him - we will again!

We live in Texas, and he and I had only had email contact up until the hour before the wedding! He was absolutely on time and very focused (no pun intended):) on creating for our families the most wonderful memories any one could ever hope for. Boy, did he ever do just that!! He was always working, taking all kinds of shots, and we hardly even knew he was doing it. Unedited Comment: John did the photos for my wedding and reception in March, and we couldn't be happier with the quality of the photos or the service! He met with us to go over exactly what we wanted, kept in touch via phone and email, and just did a really great job. OUr guests loved him, too, and we will definitely use his services again whenever we need a photographer. Thanks John!!

Unedited Comment: Mr. Park did a wonderful job photographing our wedding and also the bridal shower! He was very easy to work with, very accommodating, took pictures that we wanted taken and also took some very nice, candid and artistic pictures. He responded to our emails and phone calls promptly and answered all our questions. Would highly recommend him for weddings and also for other special occasions! Very professional unlike the other "wedding photographers" we dealt with. Will not be surprise to see his photos in the newspaper bridal section or in bridal magazines.

Unedited Comment: John Park was the photographer at our wedding on August 23, 2003. He was very friendly and communiactive before the wedding, always answered my emails right away. He was very professional during the wedding, friendly and unobtrusive too. He made sure he got pictures of everything we wanted pictures of. Took an amazing amount of pictures. Close ups, distant shots, artsy shots, portraits, etc. We took the negatives and and had them printed out as doubles & got some enlarged too. Used our favorite shots from the first set and the enlargements to make our wedding album and used the second set to make 2 parent albums and send pictures along with our thank you notes. We ended up getting a whole lot of very good pictures for an excellent price.

Unedited Comment: Working with John Park was a great experience! I can't say enough nice things about him. He always answered any questions I had through email right away, he met us on time with many great photographs of his work to look at, was very flexible with his schedule, was very friendly and professional at the same time, and wasn't intrusive on the wedding day at all. He listened to our ideas and did everything we asked for. We got our photographs back right away and I can honestly say we and everyone else loved every picture! Plus we got to keep the negatives to make reprints and enlargements. Some friends of ours that were at our wedding were so impressed with his work, prices, and great attitude that they are using him for their wedding this July. I would recommend him to everyone!
